    Question Traction Issue

Well the 06 SSS is starting to live up to her badges!!!
    Stock times 15.5
Friday 11/14/08 SAR With mods you see in signature
    14.88 92mph
Now that time was with traction control on.
When off she spinns and the time grows to 15.0
I let the wind blow several time slips out the cab Friday. (full track headwind)
But my 60' were @2.66 pretty consistant.
Allen told me to keep the traction control off. I cant seem to keep the rear from spinning.
WHAT WOULD A STALL CONVERTER DO FOR ME AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
    tHANKx!!

A stall will make it harder to get tracking, it will be more power off the line. Put some slicks on that thing and hook.

I would say get better tires and practice more. At least you dont have my problem, and it bogs out of the hole.

I have basically the same drivetrain but with more weight and an LQ4. I've done a couple high 14.8's and my 60' is mid 2.3's. You have more in it for sure. My best time is traction off, tow/haul off, and stabbing it from idle. I have messed with flashing a little more so I think I'm good for almost a 2.2X 60' and a 14.6.

    Go for it!

Get a better rear supsension setup, or you are going to find out how hard it is to move a 5,000lb 2wd truck.
    Gone, but not forgotten!

The stall will make traction worse off the line but it can increase 1/4 mile with shift extensions. You will need some slicks to take advantage of your power at the track.

wait, i thought all sss were 4x4? try airing down the tires a bit and practice more without trac control and youd probably cut a better 60'
