I have a couple of locals here who have installed the harnesses and they have been working out just fine.

    I installed two options:

    1) The PCM will turn fan 1 on when the pcm detects a programmed temp. When the a/c is turned on, it will trigger the other fan. Both fans have one speed, high.

    2) The pcm will turn both fans on low when it reaches a certain temp. The a/c will turn the fans on high when the a/c is turned on.

Both options are working fine, I personally like option one because one fan spinning high seems to cool better than both spinning low. However, option two is nice because you want as much air flowing thru the truck as possible when the a/c is on. And in traffic, both fans spinning high will keep the truck and a/c cool.
Both work fine, I think it's just preference.

For either kit you can add a manual switch that will allow you to turn the fans on high or low for option 2 and one fan on high for option 1.

For the ls1 fan installs, the fan connectors are factory style, weather pack connectors. Easy plug and play.
For the flexilite fans, your power wire coming from the fan motor will go to battery, that is your responsibilty, the ground wire will go to the relay, I leave plenty of wire coming from the relay and include butt connectors so it's also an easy install.
The relays, 2 or 3 depending on what option, mount to the pcm cover. I tried to figure out what all trucks have in common. They all have a pcm and that black plastic cover. Simply attach the relays with the supplied screws and your set.
Power will be provided by the distribution block that is attached to the drivers side of the engine. (where the alternator and starter cable go to)
Ground is provided by the two bolts that secure the distribution block to the alternator bracket.
I also include the connector that simply pushes into the pcm connector to trigger the relay. The other trigger wire taps into the green (sometimes greeen w/white) wire going to the a/c compressor.
For the manual control, simply feed the supplied wire thru the firwall and use the supplied rocker switch.

The harnesses are top notch! All connections are crimped and soldered. All wire is high temp TXL rating. The relays are bosch style. The power wires have fusible link instead of fuses, it makes for a cleaner install. All harnesses are taped up and finished off with wiring loom.
All wires are seperate, so if you blow the fusible link, a replacement wire is available.

    I'm starting pricing at:

    $69 for option one
    $79 for option two
Add $5 for the manual control override

Replacement parts are available. If you're looking for a nice replacement for the vsc and just want to forget about your fan controls, skip the manual overrride and just install the harness and never think about your cooling problems again. If you're a racer and want to cool your truck between runs, get the manual switch.

    Why replace your vsc?
The flex fans pull too much current/power to be routed through that inadequate micro technology. Even the micro relays are too small and can't handle the amps the fans require regardless of advertised rating.

    thanks,

    allen

will option 1 w/manual bypass work with my pcm?

It will be stock motor, w/Radix and the supplied superchips tuning, and flexalite fans.

    thanks

Yeah, I'm looking for option 1 also. I'm ready to paypal (and get shipped up here to MA before friday, if possible)

Can the manual switch be used to activate either fan in this application?

I figure if the AC fan is triggered off of the compressor, then it will run when it feels it should.

If it's hot enough out to require extra cooling, it's safe to say the engine fan will be on full-time. I'd like to manually connect up the AC fan to get full control if needed.
