    Swapping 4.3l for 5.3l

Ok, i have a '94 chevy single cab (short wide) and the motor messed up. Don't know exactly whats wrong with it, not a mechanic. I've decided to take it out and put a v8 in it.

I don't have any idea what I need for the swap. I've been told the front motor mounts will work but the back ones won't. I also need to know if i can use the transmission off the 4.3?

    WIRING!!!

This is the scary part. What all wiring stuff do you need other than the Engine Computer?

    ANYONE!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

I NEED ALL THE INFO I CAN GET!!!

ANYONE THATS DID THIS BEFORE PLEASE HELP!!!!

    Thanks You guys!!

Will help out with any questions but start reading the threads that are already available. This site has alot of info for the swap.

My biggest fear was the wiring also but don't sweat it, its really not that complicated.

Just keep searching and you'll find lots of useful info.
