    Question camshaft

When shopping for a cam, which duration numbers should I be looking at, the duration at 0.050" lift or the advertised duration?

Depends on your engine, the body style of the truck, your gearing, converter stall speed. There are a lot of variables, cam's aren't one size fits all.

Wait disregard that first statement I misread the post. I'd hazard a guess at advertised durration. I think at .50 has more to do with the physical dimensions of the cam and the ramp rate.

No its the other way around.
