    help with tuning

im new to the forum and was wondering if anyone could possibly help me with tuning my truck. it was tuned fine until yesterday when i did a cam swap. its a 2007 VortecMax with a 222/226 comp cam with the variable displacement cut out. its still running rich as ****. even when i scanned it running on the computer it said that the spark was correct and my fuel air was perfect. need help cuss im stumped. and by the way the cats have been cut off and the back 2 O2 sensors have been bypassed??????????

anytime you cam a motor it will always smell rich at idle....did you do anything to the VE table on the 400 800 and 1200? if not take each colum and multiply the first one by .60% 2nd by .80% and 3rd by .90 that will help it out

Like he said, you'll never get rid of the gassy smell, no cats and a cam, that's what happens.

You'll have to tune out the smell a bit, but you'll NEVER get rid of that w/o cats. I've learned to live with it. LOL

Spend the money and get you some Random Technology 3" Metal Matrix cats and you'll get rid of the smell but keep the horsepower. I love mine even though I deleted my rear O2's.
