Ok as you might know im installing some electric fans on my 04 silverado an I was wondering, am I supposed to leave the stock fan shroud on the truck after I install the fans or take it off an just leave it with the straight fans. Im asking this cause I have noticed that it looks like some people run the fan shroud an some dont. What do I do? How are you guys running it?
I removed the shroud it looks much better and there's more room..but it's up too.
I removed it, looks less conjested and you have more room.

Im not worried about the look of it, I just wanted to know if it will still work an keep my truck cool with out it. Cause I have heard that without the fan shroud on there, you cant direct the wind flow an it causes the truck to stay hot. I guess I will try it with out first. Thanks
hmmm my fans seem to blow in the direction its pointed,
(at the motor) maybe your buds have got theirs pointed in the wrong direction
anyways just a little humor on that remark.there shouldnt be any problem with you running with out the fan shroud
