I need a new motor for the hauler its an 01 3/4 ton flatbed whats the cheapest route? I dont carry lot of weight just big bulky junk it has a 6.0 but i am willing to put a 5.3 in it.
Will a late model 5.7 mate up to the auto? Is there too much crap to change over for the 5.7?


Any info would be greatly appreciated.

If the late model is a ls1 then you are good to go. Look for a threaded hole at the 12 o'clock bolt hole for a quick reference.
