hey richard how ya doing just wanted your opinion on some heads, what you think my compression might be on what i have now...
question: i swapped a lq9 in my silverado i have the patriot heads stage2 (came off my 5.3)224 cam vic jr intake 90 mm throttle body.. anyway the question, i noticed the rpms climb really fast at idle. was wondering how i could figure out what compression ratio i might be at.. also i have some 317 casting heads that came off the lq9 would it be worth porting these and polishing them to mount back on the 6.0l? TIA

Do you have any idea on the CC of the chambers on your Patriot heads?... Or did you buy them as a Stage2 new? ... I also have some intrest in how your like your Vic jr and 90mm T/B .... They are a pretty penny to install didnt know if you think it was well worth the conversion...

honestly i like it, the difference, i lost some on the lower end which was expected, i just installed this motor so cant really say much about it, when they were on the 5.3 i didnt have the 90mm throttle body had the p/p 78mm with the vic jr.. i have went through hell with a tranny issue and finally got it back well bought another, ( usf frieght owes me still for 2 they lost) but besides the point, to keep my interest i got a damn good deal on a lq9 6.0l so i made the swap.. as for the chamber size i think there like 53 not foresure will have to look at partriots site ... but they are patriot stage 2 heads for a 5.3

I didnt see exact specs on the Site.... I have allways Have run a Fair size stall converter 3000+ range .. My truck never feels that strong @ Low End because its not moving... I am wanting to try a Smaller Stall this time.. with more STR ratio and see if it will drive better... I already have a Vic Jr and Elbow ready to go on my new motor

casey you staying NA with the vic jr set up? i went with a 3200 stall for all the mods i have.i am fully bolted. ahh i see you have the front mount turbo, or is this another vechicle

No Sir... I have a front mount turbo...I am going to be looking to upgrade after I get my truck back up and Running.. I am apart doing a 408/4l80 swap now... I already had parts to install a transbrake in my 60E and sent them back for 4l80 setup... I Hope to have parts here by friday .... I am getting lines/fittings together and more thoughts and ideas on how I can run Dual 3" exhaust... I have also been looking for a dual 3"-4" Y or T pipe ..and I will route it all out the Passanger Side again in front of the rear tire

ahh ok see i am running the vic jr on a NA motor.. been thinking heavly on a front mount but decided not to.. as for 3" exhuast i run this through and Xed pipe true duals
p.s. also thinking supercharger

I had a whipple... I live in texas so IAT can kill ya here... The turbo pulls ALOT more... But yes I do miss the S/C throttle response... I Looked very serious in the KB setup.. reason why... Screw blower with intercooler big displacement ..2.6/2.8 models will support huge power... Problem is Price... I cannot reverse my setup now by just getting a Supercharger kit ( found a KB 2.6L kit cheap) without another 1000+ in exhaust .. Prochargers are Good... Worst Part about them is the belt Route and Plate that the blower is mounted with... On the side of the Road on A hummer @ my shop it would take an 1.5 hours... TOTAL PITA I think If my Goals were 600hp or less.. I would Go the Maggie Route... Its tried,True,Proven .. They can make bigger power now with the bigger models and they are Simple.. I have 5000.00+ in parts alone going turbo.. thats with tune,injectors,wideband and upgrades to the fuel system...

yeah i been looking at KB. yeah sounds like youre to far into the turbo to go sc.. these are just thoughts but undecided as i am also looking at anew truck or car here after first of year ...

And I think you already have to much compression to Run one yourself... Unless U keep a 6lb pulley on there or you have some Meth when you go on boost.... Do you have a cam? you have enough parts to have a 12 sec truck on motor alone... and I bet your compression is over 11:1...
