xm radio antenna removal

Hey guys I know alot of ppl want xm, but I would rather remove it. It is the OEM setup with the antenna above the passenger ontop of the cab. I have heard that there is a hole in the roof that the wires are ran threw, but the antenna itself is just held on by some tape. So if I go riping this thing off will I be left with a hold in my roof????

Yeah id like to know this as well, i think the 03 im going to buy has it and id like to swap it for a Sirius setup.
