i think allen decided mid way through doin em to go ahead and start his turbo project...im not sure he ever "fitted" them and started hackin at em, or just eyeballed them.

Brandon, my motor sits in the stock location(a lil higher and more forward than those using the plates. there are a few more clearance/motor mount pics here: http://www.stang.cc/tmcagallery/album01

When I test fitted them to the head, they wouldn't seat properly becuase the crossmember was too high, causing the a arms to high the headers. So, that could have been solved by cutting the tubing directly off of the head flange at an angle, that would have angled the header up some clearing the a arms.
Then there was the firewall, if they were to be angled up, that would have caused the area where the four pipes come together to hit and the collector. So , then I would have to cut the headers half way down and angle the collector inward.
Also, the first tube ont the passenger side of the engine, would have to be completely removed and turned upward like those crazy lt1 impala headers.

Just too much work, I've been playing with my box of tubing and it would be much easeir to make my own. Then the turbo idea came.

    hope that helps,

    allen
