    Snorkel? Any home built?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyone got ideas on hardware to add a snorkel to a stock 06 ss air box?
My plan is to keep the stock box, add a performance air filter and run a snorkel to the brake scoop on the front. My reason is I dont see where something like K&N would be pulling any colder air from the engine compartment. Heck the stock box is sealed from the engine compartment and get its intake from the inner fender.
Why spend the money on something like Outlaw or Volant? they look just like the stock box.
Any ideas on hardware to make a flange for attaching maybe 3"+ hose to the bumper scoop???
Or does anyone have a snorkel for sale I could use for parts?
    THANKX

I just used 4" heavy-duty dryer vent pipe for mine. There's a link here. It was experimental, but I definitely noticed improved 'pull' at higher speeds. I just ran the piping from each tow hook area, into one pipe, then into the bottom of the airbox. I can't swear that it did anything, could be my imagination, but I still say it pulled harder up top. Just be prepared for a LOT of crap blowing into the airbox. I cleaned mine once a week, so it didn't cause any issues, but it sure collected some stuff.
