not to sound STUPID or HIGHLY uneducated, but this entire post is to ask whether or not it was a good price, and whether or not it would be smart to buy something like this. Especially considering my new truck only has 1000 miles on it, and this is a zero mileage motor. But thanks for the advice everybody.

    i think he has a 4.8

Tom i would have to say that imo i dont think that is a good deal... ive seen them going for alot cheaper on ebay and can get them at the local salvage yards for cheaper. it all depends on what you need outta that motor to, it seems his a full pull out which means you be able to take alot of shit that you wouldnt need off of it. your best bet is to look for a used long block (if infact down the road you do decide to swap).... but to answer your question, for a crate motor is that a bad price? i wouldnt say so, but at the same time you can buy one outta a GTO with only the stuff you need for about $2500 less

this to me would be what i was looking for if i did decide to go LS2

Instead of making derogatory remarks, why not HELP with constructive remarks. The original poster is CLEARLY asking for opinions, yes, but not asking whether or not you believe anyone is "STUPID and HIGHLY uneducated". This may not have been the intent of the post, but you have to watch HOW things are worded, as it can be taken in a different manner.

As for the price... I'd stick closer with eBay if you're going to gamble with online sales. With risk vs price, I'd do the homework & ask loads of questions about motors in question before I buy. Just my . Good luck!

Let's keep any additional posts in this thread on the original topic and not on Wondertrucks wording.

    Thank you.
