    White smoke!?

Yeah i live up in seattle and it just started the real rainy season again...and now i have white smoke (seams just like steam, knowing it isnt oil) coming out my tail. its only at startup in the morning for about 2-3 min but it goes away...and, It just started when the rain started and its gets a little worse every time it rains. i was wondering could the rain be playing a trick with me and could it just be an internal problem, because i did an ls1 hotcam swap and a top-end rebuild under 300 miles ago. i also checked the oil and it didn't look milky at all. Any input would be helpful because Checker Auto wasn't..."Yeah ur burnin oil man" lol, thanks

i'd say it is just condensation inside your exhaust, nothing to worry about.

ok good thats what i thought because it only happened when it rains (which is almost all the time here) lol but do you think it would go on for about 2-3 min?

As I was reading all of the replies, I was thinking to myself---is someone going to say watch your coolant level??? Or smell the exhaust and see if it has the characteristic "sweet" smell of exhausted coolant??? Good to hear that you figured it out. Doing a head gasket isn't that big of a deal...just make sure you get all new head bolts. They are torque to spec and need to be replaced once you take them out. Also---get both head gaskets, not just the one side that is bad...

lol yeah i know i was loosing a little bit of coolant and then i filled it up thinking i just didnt fill it all the way from when i changed out my coolant last time but then i did smell the exhaust when it was smoking and sure enough it smelled lol, it was funny though because i was helping my dad get so shit from craigslist that he wanted like cabinets or w/e and i felt the misfiring and we were 25 miles from home and i was like oh damn...not now! but it was so at least we made it home, lol but yeah...i've done it before, but i will be sure to do all that stuff if i do the rebuild, but i was thinking about doing an ls1 swap anyways so i guess i will have to choose.
