I was driving the truck the other day with the headers open and the air bag light came on! Has anyone else had this problem and can anyone tell me how to fix it. I dont think the problem came from the open headers but it may have rattled something loose, I just really need a place to start looking.

    Thanks in advance

the only time i had that happen was when my truck got water on the floorboard. i took it into the dealership and the service tech asked me if i had driven it there w/ the light on. i told him yes. he then tells me that that was very dangerous and that the airbag could have went off at any moment.

Try resetting the computer maybe. Do the key relearn, and then if that doesnt work, disconnect the battery for over 15 min and then try it. I dunno just throwing out ideas. But yeah you might have rattled something loose.

if ur dash has a key hole that turns the airbag on and off for the passenger side and u unplug it or if it comes loose ur airbag light will come on. dik how that would have anything to do with it but i know 100% that thats the case.

If the light doesn't go out, you have to take it to the dealership, they are the only one's who can fix it. I've had mine on for about 1 1/2 years.

that really stinks, i hate that light being on.....gonna have to troublehsoot it this weekend!! I am going to start with unplugging and plugging the sensors back in and see if that cures my prob, I have reset the pcm twice but it doesnt affect the air bag light!

If none on that works, just put some electrical tape over the bulb and the problem is gone, Thats what i did to mine, you can't see the airbag light anymore
