    <div align="center">CAM IS SOLD</div>

    I&#39;ve got a cam better suited to my current modifications, so I&#39;m putting the Futral up for sale. I&#39;m asking &#036;250 which will include shipping. I feel that&#39;s a fair price so if you&#39;re interested, please don&#39;t try to talk me down&#33;

    Just a quick word on the cam: Prior to buying it, I called Futral to see what they could tell me about the cam. They said the cam would be a goof forced induction cam OR good for someone running a cold air intake but with stock exhaust manifolds. The split in the duration compensates for the larger amount of air coming in as opposed to the time required to keep the air moving through the stock manifolds.

    The cam pulled pretty hard, even with a fuel pump that was only pushing around 40 PSI as opposed to the normal 58 PSI. It helped me get into the 14&#39;s even with the fuel pump problem, so in short, it&#39;s a good cam. I&#39;m just going to go a little smaller due to my current setup and per Allens and Comp Cams recommendation. I bought it from a member on PT.net who, if I remember correctly, put less that 2,000 miles on it. I&#39;ve only had it in my truck for a few months so the miles are pretty low.

    If you decide you want it and want some kind of seller protection, I can list it on Ebay. I&#39;d rather not though due to the fees. I&#39;ve met a lot of the guys on the board (Allen (farmtruc), Billy and Dustin at TRT, Greg (RedHeartbeat), Virgil (mean05), Jeffro (Jethro), Alan (TxStVanWilder), etc., and I think they&#39;ll vouch for me being a stand-up guy.

    Let me know if you have any questions.

    That sounds like my setup in the buggy- open induction, free-flow exhaust, but stock manifolds.

    What are the characteristics of this cam, i.e., "It&#39;s a little softer to about 2000rpm, and then picks up and pulls stronger to redline"

    Also, since I&#39;m a relative LSx nOOb.. are new springs (918&#39;s seem to be the crowd favorite?) & pushrods required/recommended?

    Thanks&#33;

    I&#39;m trying to think how best to answer your question. When I had the stock exhaust manifolds, I had a different torque converter too. But the cam definitely worked better with the stock exhaust manifolds as opposed to the headers. The low end torque was really good (also had a 3000 stall converter). But mid to top end it would pull really hard. Maybe harder than my current cam, although I can&#39;t say definitively. I guess bottom line is if you have the stock exhaust manifolds, I think you&#39;d be really happy with it. Contrary to what I expected it loped more with the 116 LSA than my 114 that I have now. Seems to anyway. Maybe it&#39;s just quieter now with the lower lift.

    As far as the springs and pushrods, the answer is a definite yes - you want Comp 918&#39;s and hardened pushrods (Texas Speed is a great source).

    Hope that helps some...
