Thread: Getting ready to order some tranny parts

1. #1
I am ordering a Trans-go HD2 shift kit, vette servo, billet 4th servo, hardened sep. plate and an aluminum accumulator piston. Are there any other parts that I could easily replace while I have the pan down?

Any other suggestions or helpful tips about the install are also welcome

You mean I can't rinse the old one out with the hose

Yeah, I will be getting a new filter/gasket. I am also installing a drain plug in my pan.

Tranny Cooler? That'll save you some heartache especially since spring/summer is coming.

I have the stock tranny cooler right now, but plan on upgrading at some point. Are there any parts that I could or should replace inside the tranny that I haven't already mentioned?

Only if you put the disclaimer that it's intended as an intro for tranny newbies!!! Lately with my last tranny issues I'm learning some more advanced lessons the hard way. I'm going to try another approach to the 1-2 shift issue, I just paid through the nose to discover putting washers into the 2nd accumulator is a *bad* idea in a AWD truck I also need to see if PCM4Less increased my force motor setting from stock...

Sorry to hear about your troubles. About the 1-2 shift issue that you mentioned. Will be having that problem with the parts that I am using?

It should be fine; in my truck I had a pronounced 2nd gear bang, it eventually shattered my reinforced input drum As long as the truck does not kick you in the kidneys going into 2nd at low throttle positions it should be fine. Currently my 1-2 shift is now too soft for my liking, and instead of adding washers to the accumulator cup I'm considering installing a better accumulator valvetrain & billet 2nd servo; I'm still thinking it over though at the moment.
