Well I posted at PT.net, so I figured there might be some of you that don't go on that site, so I thought I would post it up here too. The heads were sent to Abbott Racing Heads. They are 241 castings. Abbott installed 2.02 valves, did 5 angle valve job, and fully ported and polished. They flowed 297@.550. Abbott just got through doing a set of LS-6 heads, and said mine flowed almost identical in the low numbers. But the bigger ports of the LS-6's helped them flow more up top. The LS-6's flowed 314@.550. Puttin a 224/224 cam in with .581 lift. Abbott said it's gonna be a f'n Hoss! I will also be installing a Yank 3200, Detroit Tru-Trac, 42# injectors, hardened push rods, 918's, Double Roller timing chain, and ARP head bolts. I'm trying to get Abbott to be a sponsor on here. I think that when ya'll see what the truck does before and after, it will justify him sponsoring! Anyways, thought I'd let ya'll in on some of the swap. By the way, Lance Abbott is the son of Kenneth. Kenneth does the heads, and Lance, which is my age, builds the racing engines. Lance has a 98 Firebird, that now holds the N/A record for the V-6 F-Body guys. Went 12.4@106.8. They want to start building me a big inch LS-1 based motor so they can show people what they can do with them type of engines. Alot of their engines hold World records in a few diff. types of racing. 1/4, road, circle. Hopefully they will sponsor this site, and PT.net. They just want to see what the feedback is on mine first.
