    Hey guys, my name is cody from texas. I have a 96 chevy with the vortec 4.3 v6, and just heard about a friend who wrecked his SS, so I might have an LS1 soon Be ready for lots of questions

    Its gonna be great to be here reguardless of the engine or not. I kinda figure the LS1 is gonna be my best bang, even though its more expensive initially. What does it have, like 320HP out of the box at the fly?

    If not the LS1 consider an LT1(4) motor. The LS1 is "320hp" in the SS. SS and Z28 make about the same RWHP so just find the cheapest LS1 you can in good shape.
