Hey guys, well i got a call the other night from a friend of mine who has a RC/SB silverado with the 5.3 and 373's, and he said his only mod was an axelback exhaust. I have an EC/SB (mods in sig), with the 5.3 and 373's also. Well i jumped all over this because i've been wanting to see how mine would stack up against a RC/SB because of the weight difference, so we met up and headed out to a deserted road. We did we did a few runs from a dig and a few from slow rolls, each time racing to about 90 so about equivilant to a 1/4 mile. Each time was the same result: I would outlaunch him from a dig and would it end with him a few feet behind my tailgate. From a slow roll we would be dead even through 1st but as we would shift to 2nd ( same time) I would start to slowly pull and would end with him about even with my tailgate. After all i was very excited to take him down and have a few bragging rights under my belt. My next plans are an ls6 cam and a 2800 stall converter.

Yes, he is on the stock tune and i could tell that's what made the difference. His torque managemant and less timing than i was really hurting him in the lower half of the rpm range.
