What parts are interchangeable from the 5.3 to the 6.0?
Cam?
heads?
Intake?
Accessories?
and so on?
This is just me being curious?

Now here is a different question. Can you stroke the 6.0 and what would it make it? My cam in my truck is a 220/222 .581 114lsa. How good of a cam is it in a 6.0 motor?

4" stroke would be a 402 and if you bore it .030" oversize it would be my engine, a 408" 6.7L monster.![]()

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(shwarmy @ Nov 22 2006, 07:17 PM) </div>Stroking the 6.0 is very popular, new displacement is 402 cu-in; if you also bore the block .030-over then the new displacement is 408 cu-in. Your cam would be a lot happier in the 6.0 than the 5.3 IMO, but if you are going to stroke it you would probably be happier with a larger cam, too (although that one will still work and make fair power). Now here is a different question. I run the Comp Cams 54-448-11 camshaft, I think. That's the largest commercially available off the shelf Gen3 cam available. Beyond that is custom specs. I have a very conservative tune. I had Allen back the timing way down while I break the engine in. I am sure there is more than 500 HP hidden in there once it's cut loose and tuned properly.
