Locate your vehicle, check out this device!

    Hey guys,

With all the money you put into your vehicles, would you want to:

-locate your vehicle to the exact GPS position and view it on google maps
-be able to receive email/text/phone alerts if:
    -truck is started
    -truck is turned off
    -moved
    -battery is low
    -mph exceeded
    -geo fence perimeter exceeded
    also:
    -disable the starter
-put the truck in limp mode
-have controls to activate certain devices in the truck
    -history tracking
    -interval tracking
    -end points
    -idle monitor
    -ignition monitor
    -battery low
    -battery disconnect
    -enroute distance

    and lots more!

    If so, check out http://www.locationlock.net/index.html

Not only am i a dealer, I'm also a user

This isn't OnStar or LoJack (sux), it's Location Lock.

The best device I have found out there for GPS tracking and more.

If any of you have any questions, feel free to ask, reply, PM me, etc.

I know a few of you have already jump on this and love it, glad you're enjoying it.

    -What I personally like best.
My caddy is back at the paint shop, every time they start it and turn it off, I get an update via email, that alerts me. It also informs me how many miles they drove it.
I mentioned this to the paint shop owner and it completely squashed the idea of driving my new caddy around.
I like that I can REMOTELY ground a wire and force the truck in Limp mode/REP, from my phone.
This doesn't kill the truck, but makes it a pita to drive, but still retains powersteering and brakes. Something you don't wanna loose when you shut your vehicle down.
I also has two input/outputs configured so that I can trigger devices remotely.

-- This can all be done by using your laptop, pc, and web enabled phone (iphone, driod, etc).
Yes, this works outside of the USA, I have a customer in Germany with 10 units.

    thanks for listening,
    allen

Install is a snap. All you need to hook up is power and ground.
There is literally only TWO wires to hook up.
There is even an OBD2 quick connector for those who don't want or care if the wires show.

The device is compact and small! Here is a pic of the location lock compared to my bike key.

If you need the I/O's, then there is obviously more wiring, which consists of a relay and one wire going to the location lock device.

    TWO WIRES AND YOU'RE DONE!

Just another note: there is an available battery back up for the device. This device consumes very little energy and doesn't require power until you request an alert.

There is also a motorcycle and atv device that is waterproof.
    It has tilt detection.

Pretty cool...what's the ballpark price range for the LS1truck members? Members with over 5,000 posts? Ex-moderators?

I have these installed on my truck, wife's car, 4wheeler, and all 4 of our dirt bikes. Last year my dirt bike was stolen out of my truck at work. I located it in 15 min. It's the best purchase I've ever made by far. I don't think it's the same company as those you sell. I pay a flat fee one time a year witch lets me locate each of them 3 times a year. Out standing product 4 sure

I'm on my tiny keyboard right now so more in depth tomorrow.
Basically, retail is $495 and that gets the buyer the location lock device, install wiring harness and what I like to call Pings.
Pings are when you locate or request something from the device.
The $495 includes 400 pings for the year! So yes, you can play with the location control panel and schedule locates throughout the year and not worry about over locating and having to buy more.
Once you purchase the unit, we fax your contract to the department, you then receive a call and registration happens for $19.99. That's a ONE time fee!!! Afrer that, you receive login credentials and can now login and configure the device.
When the year is up, your card is simply charged again for 400 locates which is like $78.
More locates are available in something like 900, 1200 and unlimited.

Just for reference, I have unlimited pings and havent come close to 300 pings for half the year and I use mine a lot for demos.
Once you're done playing for the first month you kind of forget about it until its needed.
400 pings per year is usually more than enough for any vehicle.

If we can get enough to participate, I can probably get a discounted group purchase going.
Hey just wanted to add, once you purchase and have access to your control panel, you can purchase more pings, update your profile, renew your subscription and not have to worry about depending on anyone for updates or configuration.
