    I broke My TV

    I know
I use canned air all the time on My cpu, and I have sprayed my other TV before without problems. I was cleaning my 52" projection TV (thin one) and I walked away and BOOOM!!!! I saw a flash and smoke. After about 10seconds the smoke detector went off. Smelled horrible. I unplugged it and let the house air out. I popped of the back cover and didn't see any thing burned. there was a little smoke inside it. now I press the on button, it makes its little chime, and the lights come on, but then it just shuts off. thats all it will do. Anyone know what the problem might be? I bet I probably have to take it in huh?
Sucks cause I play Xbox on that TV. And IM having a house warming party Sunday. Look even dumber with a busted big screen lol

Don't those Tv's have some kind of super bright light bulb in them? Maybe you hit the hot bulb with the cold propellant from the canned air and shattered it. All I can think of.

There should be a small circuit board on the inside of the television. 5-8 screws takes it off. If you look on the backside and if you are lucky, you just popped some regular replaceable glass fuses.

Do like I do, go to Walmart and buy the same television. Swap them out and take the broke one back. Tell them you just bought it but your wife wanted a bigger one for her soap opera's so you had to bring this one back.
