Snap rings = bad. Spiral locks = good.

Yeah, how is the infamous build-up coming along? I can't wait to see it on the track.

What's even better is when you finally snap it off, it shoots off the side, ricochets off every part in the engine bay and you loose it. And it is late at night when nothing is open so you can't go buy new ones. And you have to stop what you are doing cause you NEED that one snap ring. Ultimately, that is the reason for the holes in the wall in your garage...

The snap rings Im referring to arent the ones that hold the wrist pins in the pistons. I prefer those over spiral locks they are much easier to pop in. The snap rings I was dealing with are the ones that hold everything together in teh t-case. I was swapping the input gear out for a revised one that is cut bigger for the output shaft of the 80e and the damn snap rings really pissed me off. Im pretty much done with everything now, just gotta get my new trans crossmember built and get the motor back from West Coast CYlinder Head. Should be driving it in a month. The hold up is waiting on wiseco to make the pistons.

Yeah im pretty stoked to see it. I mean if it took you a little over a year to build it, then this bitch should seriously be able to lift off the ground and fly or something.

The snap rings inside a 4L60e suck! Those bad boys were meant to never be taken off.

It has taken me a year to get it back together because I got burnt out on the original build, working 70+ hour weeks, having a bike that I could feed the need for speed on and money since I did everything top-of-the-line this time. Ducky you are more then welcome to drop by in a couple weeks when I drop the motor in if you are bored. Its not going to be too impressive power wise for now but later on it will. The goal is 800 ft-lbs of tq by 3600 rpm and 1000 by 4500, should be easily achievable with the numbers I have seen from a VERY similar setup to what mine will be
