4L60E to 4L80E Conversion Tubular crossmembers

4L60E to 4L80E Conversion Tubular crossmembers.


As of now these just fit 99-Early 2000 and Later 2000-07 classic 2wd trucks.
Tubing is .120 wall mild steel and the brackets are 3/16s mild steel. Everything is welded in a jig and will clear dual 3" exhaust. Ive tried to give as much as exhaust clearance as I can. Everything bolts in factory position, just look at the pics.

Dude!!! I want one. Looks like it has more ground clearance the mine that i made out of the stock 60e cross member. Do you know for sure if it allows for more ground clearance than a stock 60e mount would?

Yes it adds more clearance.. I always bottomed out my fabbed factory 60e mount ..

I wish. By the time you figure shipping, materials, Paypal fees, welder, welding wire, chop saw, blades, and JD2 manual tubing bender.. There's alot of expenses and its a big workout using a manual bender on this thick of tubing.

Thanks man.. I'm not building these to make a ton of money. Just to provide everyone a cheap option to a crossmember that doesn't need cut up and fab work done and weigh 25-35lbs. These weigh 5-8lbs and bolt right in.

That's gonna help me out a ton.

Damn imma need one of these soon. I am glad these can help save some weight when the 80e adds some already.

I'll be interested to see the differences on a 4wd version.

When I get time I'll try and get started on one in the next couple days.

65e should be fine with a cammed 4.8 and 100 shot.

Yea I was thinking the same thing

Gm puts the 65e in the big h2 hummer behind a 6.0 and it seems to do fine. I'm sure a lil 4.8 and 100 shot of juice wouldn't be much more stress on it than the big hummer and 6.0

It's an extended cab with 157,000 miles. I tow a fair bit. I just don't like worrying about it.

No, should have stated, it is NNBS 07 Tahoe.

Measure the inside holes across the frame.. More than likely not.

But as soon as I can find a NNBS crossmember to use for a jig ill get some built... I just gotta get the time.
