I need some ideas on how to mount my PCM, post up pics!
Mine uses s10 tray and is where battery was

some info from before
Thanks for the link!
I just went out and was sticking the pcm in a few different spots...not exactly sure where I'm even going to mount it. I think my air filter may be in the way if I put in on the passenger side fenderwell.
So here is basically what I'm thinking...I'll have to modify the box for the intake it looks

what about getting a different overflow tank & mounting it on the firewall?
or, can you put your battery on the drivers side?
i got the mount like in that link and put it on the fender in front of my fuse box. i love it there! nice and tucked away
EDIT: if you are worried about battery wire lengths dont worry, its very easy and fairly cheap to make them. mine run across my underhood but you never see them
im glad i reminded you of that, but i didnt even think about the fact that your truck is an obs haha. im talking about my 01... :nutz:
An 01 is the new OBS
Concerning battery cable lengths, it looks like the only one that would be too short is the cable for the starter. Everything else would be too long to remedy that issue I could just route the cables so that there isn't an abundance of slack in the cable.
I would use the 96 PCM bracket, goes where the windshield washer fluid tank is on your 95. Get the 96 windshield washer tank and plastic driver's side battery tray.
Slight adjustment on the harness and you can mount the PCM in the bracket and the NBS battery cables will work with the battery on the driver's side.
Take a look at my thread. I've mounted mine in a similar fashion/area as the 2000+ model year trucks. I still have the use of my driver side battery tray if needed.
i moved my battery to the driver side by using a battery tray from a diesel the same body style. then i just got the factory computer mount out of a nbs and drilled some holes and mounted it on to the new battery tray.
looks factory, other than my mess of wiring......
I'm sure it's easy to make them but I need to hurry up and get this thing on the road already...I've had the engine since the beginning of Feb.
I'm think that I can make a mount for the PCM and put it on the passenger side battery mount
I just found this bracket

If it's $25 bucks even or if shipping is really cheap I'm going to jump on it.
I just saw shipping is $15 :(
I bet I can duplicate that design easily though
i dont see why you couldn't just get the computer mount off a nbs like i did and mount it on the passenger side.
feb?? thats when i got mine and i already blew the dang thing up, stop slackin boy lol
How much did the mount cost you? I found an S10 bracket on ebay for $28
The day it was brought home in Feb...if y'all didn't know any better y'all would assume the fi tre was going in the sami

pretty sure i got it for 20 or 25 bucks in the local yard.
and dont worry my dad has a 5.3 sitting on the welding table in the garage. he's gonna start to fab the chassis up this week for his new rock crawler with rockwells, 4 wheel steer and 44s.
im tempted to just take his motor and swap it out with mine lol
