The STUPIDEST thing someones ever asked you or told you 'bout your truck.

I've got a few dumb dumbs since I've been driving it again.

Had a redneck at Napa tell me I have a slight miss, that a new cap and rotor would clear it up.

Had an old boy ask me if it had a 3/4 race cam in it. Said "Yeah, got Ardun OHV heads and 3 Strohmburgs on it too"

Some redneck broad at a gas station gave me "That thing ain't running right, here's my husbands number he'll get ya fixed up. Knows these old 305's like the back of his hand"

And the dumbest thing I've ever been asked "Can I drive? So you can teach me how to drive a standard"

Haha I love those! My buddy has a Heads and cammed lq4 in his 97 Camaro ss and when people ask him what's in it he tells them it's a v6 with a bad miss and an exhaust leak.

is it a diesel?

how did you get your diesel to sound like that, what happen to your tail pipe. It's a 5.3 with full lengths no cats and a magnaflow magnapack dumped under the truck.

Not ten mins ago i got out at the gas station, 2 guys sitting on a bench, 1 says trucks gotta miss, i kinda chuckled and said yea bout 8 of em, then i go inside (trucks still running) the guy behind the counter says truck sounds mean man, i say yea its all bark no bite, oh ya gotta small cam and exhaust. Yea i say, he kinda smirks and say you might bs those 2 outside but i know better, i start laughing and say it only has about 500 rwhp on the juice, Jesus Christ ! :lol: gotta love small town country folk.

Him: sweet bored out 350
Me: nope its the LS 6.0 364cc
Him: did you buy it with that engine
Me: naw. It came with a 4.8, I swapped it out for the 6.0
Him: what size carburetor
Me: it's fuel injected
Him: hmm have a good day
Me: you too

Took the truck for its emission testing. The guy gets in and pulls it into the testing area and runs the test. As he is handing me my "Pass" sticker he tells me the alternator is whining. I figured I probably shouldn't tell him it has two turbos, no cats, no rear O2s, No EGR, two fuel pumps and injectors that are 3 times bigger than stock.

Wow I almost had that exact comversation at a gas station about my camaro...its an LS2 and some guy asked if it was bored out from a 350....LOL

I have another,

I walk into a gas station after putting 20 bucks in my Camaro, guys asks,
"your going to sell that" car?
me "no, why?"
guy " that thing must suck some fuel"
me "its not to bad , gets 22 on the highway"
guy "oh it must be cammed, that lets it breath better, how fast can it go?"
me "well it traps 132 in the 1/4 and runs a 10.22"

The stupidest thing I've ever heard about my truck is as follows:

I'm driving on base and stop to show the MP my ID as everyone has to. I had the scanner running and was datalogging. The MP, Sgt. Simpson, asked me "what is that?". I replied "a scanner". "What does that do?" he asked. I gave him a brief description of what a scanner is and does. His response.........Well, I listen to my engine

I don't think I've ever tried so hard not to laugh. Then, after we drove away, my buddy in the passenger seat said "his first name must have been Homer.

Back when I was driving my 4.3L 5speed 96 S10 I had a cherry bomb on it and drove the shiz out of it.

I was pulling out of a party and heard some jack off say "why would you put an exhaust on a lil truck?"
I decided to give him a nice smoke show filling the whole street. He then chases me down the road and catches me as I pull onto the freeway. We went from a dig 45 and 60. Lets just say apparently a civic hatch ain't got shiz on a lil S10 :LOL:

I also have a bagged nissan hardbody and I constantly get people telling me that my ball-joints are broken because of the camber when its layed out, and of course the EVERYday "How do you drive it that low?" LOL

Had a neighbor ask me, "What do you have, a 318 or a 360 in your truck?"

I said "No. No, that's not it. This here is a Chevy."

Him, "Oh. That's a Chevy?"

Me, "Yes, a Chevy. It's got a 4 8"
