I know we have some heavy drinkers here, but how much does your truck drink?
10 mpg when driven easy and 8 mpg when driven aggressively.
So i guess that means 8 mpg for me

Just had a thread on this  i get over 18 on the highway prolly close to 20 if i stay out of iit.
My beast of burden gets 13-14 in town and upwards of 17 highway
Average 24 beating the hell out of the 4.3.
Mines about 17 hwy with no headwind. TR 220, 4l60, and 4.11's.
My crew cab is seeing 19 all day long if I stay on the highway. When I hit town, it drops to 13 or so. Its rough getting this big guy moving.
I get 17 to 18 no matter how I drive. Completely stock 4.8.
I get 35+ on the highway and about 20ish in town
I get 15-18 with mixed driving mostly town with a heavy foot.
18-19 highway
14.5 average, heavy foot. Frenchy, how the heck do you do that with the same power train as me? Or is that km?
Nope thats 24 mpg. Uhm 5 speed and 3.23s. A lean tune with lots of timing. When I highway drive I tuck up behind anything bigger. And I've spent a lot of time teaching myself to drive economically. I've put quite a few tanks through it and got no better than 17 and I've seen as high as 26.5. It's all in the driving habits tune and maintenance. It takes literally almost no throttle for my truck to maintain 60 mph. Anything above that I'm cooked though.
ahh, I have the nv3500 also but 3.73's, no tune, and no self control with the skinny pedal. lol
With the 5.3 got about 14mph highway after the LS1 swap 18.5mph highway. 04 Avalanche w/3.73
The turbo 408 with 80e averages better than 14 MPG with my stupid driving style. It would probably get better fuel mileage with some tweaking of the tune. The 408 got about the same fuel mileage when it was in the 93 truck with nitrous, except at the track where you could watch the gas gauge drop after each pass down the track. :)
15-16mpg in my truck @ 74mph, 12-13mpg in town. Tahoe 17-18mpg @ 75mph not bad for a vortec 350. :)
My rcsb 4.8 is 12-14 in town and 20-22 highway...i need 3.08 gears bad...
With my 5.3 and BDD cam in an ecsb eith no stall and 3.73's with 31.5" tall tires I average 16-18ish. If I drive conservatively I have seen as high as 20 after the cam. Before the cam I had seen as high as 22 under good driving conditions.
since i moved closer to work and when i do drive the yukon i tend to beat on it lol im getting about 12-13mpg in town. weve seen low-mid 20s on the hwy on a trip a few times but that was mid 70s temps extra air in tires stayed at 70mph all planets aligned perfectly ect ect lmao
about 6 in town and some where between 16-22 hwy depends on hills
im around 12-13 round town and 15 interstate running 75 mph. it does about 17 if i run 50-60. the 08 sierra gets about 20 with mixed driving
Stock 4.8 17city 19highway(it has trouble on the highway lots of downshifting on these hilly utah highways)
just ran a tank and got 20.2 mpg. I was taking it real easy I have a 3900 pound truck with 3.08 gears and i never touched the highway! I would like to take a highway run and see what I can get.
Just an update:
6.2l Crew cab Z71
19.7 hwy and 16.4 mixed. Not too bad if you ask me.
zero... :(
05 2500 hd 13.5 avg 2002 chevy = not used a drop of fuel in a year :(
double post
I was WRONG! After another trip to tulsa and back, my truck got 16.7 with very little in town driving.
just filled up last night and calculated 22.8 miles to the gallon, almost all city...not quite sure how I managed that
That will be a nice driving technic! Totally doable.
I got 24cty/27hwy
6.0L crewcab 4x4
My 22's AT305-45 take a toll on my truck, bcause I got some reports on ppl with 32hwy/26cty
Maybe more tame driving will get a little better. I just drive normal on most conditions.
If it is in liters that works out to 93mpg. If that's kilometers per liter it works out to, 57 mpg. So I'd say he's definitely talking miles per gallon. Metric fuel consumption is measured liters per 100 km.
Yeah, Miles.
Frenchy, we also use Km like in Canada.
My bad, forgot to say it is a Hybrid.
Mine is stock, but some mod with CAI and Exahust and got a lot of improvement. Cons is the sound of the 4 cyl mode when kick in.
Tune in hybrid stays a lot in 4cyl with the Electrical system asisted in hwy, even in passing situations. And in city there is a lot of time full electric is used.
