passenger side, either on the fuel rail or cross over tuber there is a shrader valve, remove the core and voila, fuel
thanks, now that thats outta the way, do i need to step down in temp range on my spark plugs? or just take timing out with a programmer? thanks again parker! sweet looking ride!
most people will recommend NGK tr6 plugs for nitrous on our trucks. depending on your truck and how much nitrous you use, you may want to pull some timing as well. On a 100shot, I didn't have to pull any timing, but to be safe you want to pull a couple degrees
I def recomend the TR6's I believe they were only $24 and worth the assurance..
thanks guys! id rather be safe than sorry! so 2 to 5 degrees out and those plugs and im good to spray 150?
general rule of thumb is 2* for ever 50hp worth of nitrous you add
just becareful spraying that much off the rail, now it should handle it, but you dont wanna run outta fuel while spraying, also you may wanna look into eventually upgrading fuel pumps or getting a standalone system, later on in you nawz using years of course
what he said. and like he said earlier 100 shot is ok to spray with no tune after that you need to pull timing :thumb:
the diablo sport u7198 has stepped timing controls, between rpm ranges i.e 1-2k 2-3-k 3-4k etc .. if that aint suffecent then i will tune the shot down to 100..
i bought a airraid throttle body spacer from summit, it was pre drilled for a nossle in both sides of the throttle body spacer, made a nice clean install too.
Take some pics for us.
install is done, nx 150 wet kit, timing tuned at 8 deg advance and fuel 10% rich..110 octane..
started at -4 degrees timing, and went up till it felt like it was working.. checked plugs, looks good. will take pics and post soon..
-8 ???? for 150 shot??.... How much total timing do you have at WOT ???....
not -8 ...+8, ill have to go back and read a log of when i sprayed it last, and see what total timing was, it felt good, didnt get hot, didnt ping knock pop or anything like that..
..i believe i can add and subtract just fine.. i started out on the first spray with 8 degrees REMOVED from the total... i ended up adding 8 from baseline.. does that make more sence now? and its not lean or pre detonating... plugs look fine
and i always run half tank of 110 when im sprayin..
So you removed 8 degrees and then added 8 back in....so that means you are pulling nothing on a 150 shot. How many degrees total do you have? Just curious.. you might be playing with fire
Silly ricer math...
Theres no rice to it, again i started at -8 from stock...ended up +8 from stock.. total i will have to check .. what should total be? with a 150 shot.. and the engine only warms up 5-8 degrees when spraying it.. hottest temp 90 degree day sprayd it and it was 178 degrees.. and thats a full pass on the bottle
