thats about it bro,beside retune
Sweet, now i have a superchips tuner but im guessing that im gonna need a custom dyno tune right.
Superchips = Crap

Its not that bad i have actually noticed power gains. But sadly i dont know of any shops around me that do custom tunes.
I just gave you a link to one of the main tuners out there. His tune will be night and day compared to your hypercrap.
Thats a long drive but i might just make it my spring break to do list
Well he could just mail you a new pcm with the requested updates and that would be easier than a drive... hence mail order tune. ;)
But would it be as good as a dyno tune cause i dont mind the drive and if its worth it then i would definitely drive it
HIs mail order tunes are spot on for no more than your going to have done.
yup,ive gotten a mail tune from allen for my supercharged setup with z06 cam.a/f ratio was good.go for it bro.
Sweet sounds good I will start saving
+1 on not needing a live tune, but a mail order will be just fine. your mods are not too extreme, and that cam is easy to tune.
were did you find your z06 cam? ive heard ebay and looked but didnt find anything, ive found the springs but not the cam, is there a store that sells them? any help would be great thanks man, i plan on throwing one in my 4.8 also:hyper2:
If you do go looking on ebay for the Z06 cam beware of a seller out of Dallas that sells "fresh copies" of cams. They are junk.
I got mine off craigslist with the yellow springs for 200 bucks
I must say though, i bought one of those cams with the 112dg LSA from that guy in Plano, and then ended up selling it and a set of springs to a friend of Gteran1/gorge. . .and he said it worked great. so i might have gotten lucky.
but if you looking for a cam, there is an LS6 type GM Hotcam on ebay for cheap, comes with springs and everything.
I heard it would run fine with the stock pushrod since I don't have any major upgrades
Better safe then sorry....they are cheap insurance.
Do you need a stall with a z06 cam? i want to do a cam swap also but with mine being a dd i dont want to be running high in the rpm all the time
It's not critical but it wouldn't hurt to have one. Even a worked trailblazer stall would be better.
Stalls don't make you run high rpms all the time. It's more just when starting off. Once you get to a cruising speed, it's like stock. They help keep you in the powerband instead of shifting down so low that it bogs.
I had the same concern as you and now I dd mine with a 3000 stall.
I can't find a stall anywhere anybody got any ideas
I know this is an old thread but the trailblazer stall, would that be the tbss or just the regular trailblazer?
regular Trailblazer
