Does anyone know if the injectors from a 95 mustang will fit in an LS1 intake if I have the right connectors? I have an opportunity to get some 30 pounders and would like to know if they are the same diameters...

30 lb Ford injectors would not even be worth the money to make them work. What vehicle/motor are you wanting bigger injectors?
i run ford injectors on my ls1 style intake. they will work with the right connectors spliced into your wiring harness.
if they are rated at 30 pound on a ford they will push more behind a chevy. i want to say ford runs about 38 psi fuel pressure where chevy pushes 58.
lots of people run ford injectors on our trucks. not that expensive to make them work. just get the right connectors. 30# ford injectors are more like 42s for us right?
6.0 with cam, LS1 intake, and ported stock heads. My harness is already apart so I do not mind splicing one bit. So they do fit in the smaller LS1 holes?
they will work? you're talkin about the red tops im assuming?
Yup that's them :)
yep yep...do some searchin and find out what adapters you'll need
What type of connector is on our truck harnesses anyway? Not EV1 or EV6 right?
Lol so it's not a designated name like the Bosch styles. Its just a part number.
I just put some 39lbs ford motorsports from an 2007 mustang on my truck, but I didn't cut my hardness, log in to fiveomotorsport.com they have the connectors to go from your hardness to any type injector. Its expensive but worth it. Like that u know you cant go wrong with the wiring.
i run the red top ford injectors. they work great.
you can find the part number for the new pigtails in bluecajuns thread on the ls6 intake swap on the homepage. all 8 pigtails are only about 22 dollars.
My harness is still in the build process so I was just going to check the local salvage yard and go cut some connectors off a 4.6 GT or whatever.. what if I got the 24 lb ford injectors? As mentioned earlier a 30 lb would be like a 42 under our fuel pressure? That may be too much for me. Would the 24 lb injectors net more around 36 lb at 58 psi?
no 30lb ford injectors are between 35-36lb on the lsx series fuel pressure. thats why i am going to have to upgrade my red tops for some 42lb ones for my trans am motor(408ci)
Ahhh I see. Ok that's about what I'm lookin for I guess. Around 36 lb. Sweet well that's what I'm gonna get now, some red tops. Anyone know what factory vehicles they came on??
i have a set that i no longer need. i am going to have to move up to 42lb injectors unless you want new ones. hese only have about 4000 miles on them.
isnt the spray pattern better on the smaller gm injectors than the ford inj? how bout some ls3 injectors as an option? anyone now what they are rated at?
pm me if you want them and i'll give you my info and get yours.
What are y'all changing in your injector tables to compensate for the injector offset.
I haven't been able to locate any info on this. It seems to when we get WOT AFR correct the car won;t start, make changes and the car starts great but is lean at WOT. Think the ford injectors are pulse slower, but haven't been able to get the offset table to work with them. Any help out there?
ppl been using red tops for years now. iran them back in 06 with no issues with my 6litre. its a simple configuration to run them. id say much better then youre typical truck replacements. once you swap over to a EV1 plug you have a better selection of injectors for your builds
