I got my Trans back in my truck last week and the converter is Locking up again. The problem is it will jump between 2000 and 2300 rpm at about 70. Converter is a new 2500 Circle D. Any Ideas?

Valve body leak, cracked TCC solenoid...or maybe another issue.
Is this hard on the trans?
I have a 30k gvw cooler with a 10 inch fan mounted to it.
I just went out and commanded lockup and it seemed to work for a bit and then unlock. The TCC slip would range from 200 to 700 at times. but mainly its about 200. I dont know much about the TCC duty or any of that other mumbo jumbo, but if anyone does I can tell you what the numbers are. If I hold the gas steady, it will stay locked up fine unless I go up a hill. If I put it on cruise it locks in and out.
Should not be anywhere near 200 slip speed at 100% duty cycle on the TCC. Should be more like 12 or 8 or 23 or something low. 700 is completely unlocked.
When its working it is at 0 but when it unlocks it goes to 200 and then back to 0
Any Ideas?
So you commanded the PCM to keep it locked and the status light stayed GREEN or ON or ENGage and it still unlocked?
BUt it is safe to drive? Ive noticed that it will stay locked as long as I keep the gas steady about 65. LoL
r u sure its locking and unlocking and its not just the stator locking from the converter because mine does the same thing but mine has a fairly loose stator
the stator is what decides how your stall comes on if u have a loose stator it will be real easy to get up to the stall point. like a holeshot converter is really loose up to the stall point then once it hit the stall its like popping the clutch in a manual trans. If it has a tight stator its going to almost want to push the car before it gets to the stall. also if your stator is loose it will want to try to engage and disengage when the motor is right around the stall point. Like mine is a 2600 and at 65-70 mph its turning about 2400-2500 rpm so it essentially thinks that i am trying to brake stall it so its engaging then once it get below the stall point it disegages
