Need Pics....
Rules are rules. The Mods will tell you shortly....GasGuzzler had to do it on a new fuel pump not to long ago.
Actually I never reposted it. I did open the box and put the pump on eBay however.
O. But still...Post Some :pics:
Pictures are required withing 24 hours or thread will be deleted. Protects the seller and the buyer.
this thread reminds me of OFFICE SPACE when i screw up i have 9 boss's coming by to tell me about it Bob.
Also can you explain how this works? I'm out of fuel at a little over 5000 rpm...wondering if this might solve my problem.
All I can find online is it increases voltage to the pump as boost increases. Does the higher voltage make it actually pump more?
As the boost psi comes up the msd box will increase voltage to the pump. Just like a electric motor. More volts you put to it faster it spins. This will also help with loss of volts through the factory wiring goin to the pump. The two long lead wires, (+) (-) runs from the msd box to the pump. Decent size wire too.
They sense when the engine is making boost or at certain rpm levels
and increase voltage for that short time to increase pump output.
You dont want to increase pump voltage all the time, only when you
start to run out of fuel under normal conditions.
KenneBell really clued into this first with their "BoostAPump"
Its a great way to get an extra 10-20% out of a fuel pump for the short
burst you need from it "up top"
My aeromotive fuel pump controller does the same thing basically.Boost voltage above 3 k rpm and pushes more fuel ,also doesnt make the f/p work as hard.bumps my fuel pressure 3-5 psi at 3k +.
I will be putting it up on ebay tomorrow if no one is wanting it.
