You are correct. Not sure on the years they put the L33 in and what models got them... Like he said, I know the trailblazers got them and I think the 5.3 Vmax's did also..

the 5.3L LM7 is an iron block w/ aluminum heads. The motorset I picked for my nitrous 240 application.
The L33 came in certain
* 2005-2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4WD
* 2005-2007 GMC Sierra 1500 4WD
the LM4 in
* 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT
* 2004 GMC Envoy XL
* 2004 Chevrolet SSR
i sold that truck and got an 04 ecsb that is stock but a tune and flows right now but im also lookin into a l33 with a t56 for a 240
and stevon my 05 silverado 2wd has an lm4 aluminum block and its the stock motor i no they didin come out with the l33 till 05 and they come out with the lm4 in 04 so anything above that prob had an option of each not shur tho

From what I heard when I bought mine, the L33 came in 05-07 Z71s.
also I think the L33s put out around 310hp up from 285 with the lm7
its 335 at the crank prob 310 at the wheels
nice truck man
oh i know what you mean about keepin tires on it,mine is a good tire layth,and not a problem about your truck,give me your opinon on this how much boost do you think i could make on my truck with a t76 front mount the way my motor is now about 5lbs w/ a snow kit,105octane 7lb w/ snow kit just a ?
From what i have read, the iron block came in my 02 Z71, correct? I also read that iron blocks are easier and safer to bore, is this true?
L33 is the high output aluminum block 5.3 with flat top pistons and 799/243 casting heads. It has 310 hp.
The LM4 came in Trailblazers and Envoys and is also an aluminum block 5.3 but is no different than the LM7 iron block other than the blocks being a different material; internally they are the same and rated at the same 285 hp.
Aluminum blocks bore about .010" oversize a the most.
Cast blocks bore +.030" safely.
i dono man reall i mean you can run as much as you wont pep on hear are runin 18psi on the stock bottom end
