First ticket..

So today.. late for work and I get pulled over.. :hyper2: . The facts of it thought he was going to burn my a$$. Was doing 46 in a 35 :pow: . Well he asked for the insurance, and all that stuff. Its all mississippi papers, tag, license, insurance, registration.. and come to find out the insurance info I had was only 6 months expired :LOL: , so I thought I was just pi**ing in the wind with this now.. well he got me for $156.. so I was speeding, with no insurance, and being kind of a douche while driving. I got so let off it s not even funny!

I'm not complaining!

I just got one 2 weeks ago. 76 in a 30 it was a $294.50 ticket. And I was just headed to get a bite to eat. Talk about an expensive dinner.

But yeah.. I was pretty lucky on that. Was talking to a friend about it, and they were doing 50 in a 40, and ticket was a lot higher than mine. Their second one from that day was a bit higher than the first one :lol:

Gosh 294.50! Hope you weren't just going to mc donalds or something :LOL: one hell of a hamburger..

I was going to pizza hut. Not much better. All my friends could say was, at least the court cost was only $30. They are so helpful sometimes. LoL

Well no, but one day of being completely pi**ed off at stupid drivers.. I took it to my 98 cut off in the middle of downtown.. luckily no ticket to prove it though :ugh2:

not me. but a buddy of my got pulled over going 125 in a 50 and got off with just a ticket and the judge deferred the ticket for 6 months cause he has not had a ticket for 6 years. which means if he doesnt get pulled over in 6 months the the ticket never goes on his record. i was on my street bike and i passed a hi po doing 165 and he didnt even turn around to chase.

I got popped for 108 I think the cop said. It was right before I left for basic training. Told him a story about how I just put in a shift kit and different gears and how if I got a ticket like that they might not let me join the military. This was on Beltway 8 in houston. Cop only wrote me for 9 over. I did have 3 chicks in the car with me at the time so that may have helped. I'm just glad he didn't clock me before I started up the over pass. I had just started to let off just in case there was a cop on the other side and bam. Before he could catch up I had already exited and was waiting in the parking lot of AMC 30

Biggest ticket i got was 65 in a 35 which was $300, but my friend who has a modded STI got a 131 in a 65 and after going to court for it...somehow got off it

I'm thinking that maybe the good thing about knowing someone.. I couldn't imagine getting off on a 165... at least where I live.

I actually had just washed my truck, it was a total mess from snow, I should have told him I was just trying to dry it off... :)

I just finished taking defensive driving online (finished it about 2 minutes ago haha), for my first ticket I got. Similar to yours I was popped for 47 is a 30, ticket was going to be $183 but with the defensive driving its down to about $100 with court costs, plus I will get a discount on my insurance. Another good thing is it wont be on your record if you take DD.

My first ticket was a bunch of s**t! I was between a semi and the wall on the freeway...semi starts coming at me....what do I do? That's right speedup so I don't die. Get around the semi and WHOOP WHOOP!!! Wrote me for 85 in a 65. Stupid SOB!!!

Well luckily the next ticket I got he couldn't prove how fast I was really going...even tho I was followed at "95-100" for over 2 miles....at the time speed limited was still on...so I got a criminal ticket :( I think they worded it zspeed exceeding 85 or some stupid s**t! Went to court and plead guilty so I had to pay $350 instead of $500 and do up to a month in jail....oh and not to mention get my license revoked. :sadnana:

to no ones suprise i am one of the lucky few to be in the 100+ club but its been twice for me once when i was 16..146 in a 65 i went to jail but the cop was a cool mofo and wrote it for 30 over he said thanks for letting him open up his camaro SS interceptor:D didnt get license back for a while on that one, the bout 2 1/2 years ago i got busted in washington state goin 110 in 50.....still payin on that bitch, no jail time judge said since i was in the service and i had no criminal record i just had to pay the fines, like i said im still payin on it :lol: oh BTW thw one in wash was an unmarked car :( once again i have no license :LOL:

134MPH in a 55 I was comn from Austin one nite goin back to SA in my 5.0 when some old man in an RX7 decided to have a go, I didnt lift until he did! Turned out his brakes were better, I tried to hide the ticket from my pops until the insurance called him about it. 900+ bux. Luckily it was back in '98 when they werent as tough on that kinda stuff.

Yeah washington state are pretty stiff with the unmarked cars..

But thats kind of funny the thanked for you letting him open up his ss :tvhaha:

What year was that in? They've sort of stopped doing that. Except when I was moving a few times went by one or two doing pretty quick speed wise. But just as you start into the mountain passes.. they just get strick.

If I wouldnt have had the best brakes ever I would of got a 110 or so in a 55. Rolling down about a 3mile straight road with few hills. I had my Old GTI opend up chillin and I saw 2 blue stripes on the hood of a impalla about a mile or so up. So I drop it back a gear and Slam on the brakes. He said his radar flashed a bunch of numbers and it leveled out at 98. Then he complemented how well the car stops. By the time he checked it again it was 70 something... So I got 98... Close to the 100 club.
Better then that Who here has passed a cop? Big 4x4 Dodge Sherriff. Was bout 3 cars in a line I passed the last one at 120... The last one... you guessed it... the cop. He thought it was so funny I didnt see the BIG sticker on the back he just told me to "NEVER DO IT AGAIN" And that was in Louisiana. As stated earlier... Anything over 30 over the speed limit and you can go to jail.

Oh yeah, back in 84 my friend and I were in his 70 GrandPrix with a balanced and blueprinted 455 cruising from Tulsa to Okmulgee Ok with the 160mph speedo buried. Passed an Okmulgee cop that was on his way to work and didn't know it. We stopped in Okmulgee at Long John Silver's and ate dinner. About the time we finished he pulled up in his squad car and gave us hell. :laugh:

4x4 Sherriff??? Sounds like you've been around St. Landry Parish (Lafayette, Opelousas, Alexandria areas). I don't know much about North La, but that's the only area I've seen 4x4 units.

Now I don't feel so bad about 102 in a 65. Well, technically, all I have is a non-moving notation on record. As for La laws, 20+ is considered wreckless driving. At the officer's discretion, he can hold your license. The carbon copy of ticket is your legal right to drive. License can be returned to you on your court date... mandatory court date (unless DA let's you slide). Speeds in excess of 100+ "can" land you in jail and/or license suspension, BUT... you guessed it.... officer's discretion. That is also a mandatory court appearance.... unless the DA let's you slide. LOL As for the 100+ speed, I had already hit the brakes just before the LIDAR button was depressed. Luckily, I was catching up to the car in front that he clocked going 104. LIDAR can zap you at over 1500ft away (depending on gun models).
