I say do it!! Id try him from a 30-40mph roll. You may suprise him. I seen those things run on average like low to mid 14s
He will probably beat you... but it will be too close for his liking. You may even beat him by a nose. I would do a roll race.
Not from a dig? Cause I bet he will spin tires at the beginning, by that time my 4wd launch will helped me a bit.. What you think buds?
if you had a stall and a cam you would own him from either. But being you have 4wd lauch you may be lucky to come out close to even. Those things are pretty quick.
march I'll trow in a tvs1900, cam and stall.. Or at least those are the plans..
any 05+ GT SHOULD run in the 13's...but there are some that wont as I witnessed at the track recently.
Basically they are a low 14 sec car either way you cut it. Your truck right now is probably a high 14 sec truck. I would look into a good street cam and at least a 2600 stall. they come stock with i think 1800 stall range. you put a good torquey cam with a lower rpm range with a 2600 stall and lauch it. you should be able to eat a gt then.
EDIT: and thats without the s/c
Did the ud pullies helped a lot man?
My friend has a Roush 05 stage 1 (a GT with some appearance stuff). His best at the track with no wheel spin was 14.8 @ 98mph. This car is stock. I don't know if a better driver can get more out of one or not.
I ran my friends 04 GT one nite at SAR on a 40 degree nite, I ran a 13.9@101 with a 2.1 60ft. It was the best run the car had ever seen being stock. I wouldnt worry too much about runnin the guy. Hes got nothin to be proud of, hes not gonna beat you bad if he can even do that.:)
that TVS is gonna wake that truck up
Go ahead and race him from a dig if you want...but I am thinking from either a dig or roll run, he will out-nose you. You will have the whole shot on a dig run in 4WD stalling it as high as the stock stall will allow, but he will overtake you. Just go ahead and do it to see where you are against a car like that... Just do it for fun!
it would be a pretty close race, he'll prolly beat u but it'll be close, dont run in 4wd, you'll be slower than 2wd spinning
hey, i finally beat my buddy!!....he has an 05 gt 5 spd straight piped :)
had to put the stall in to get it done though
Yay! That means it works good.
I talked to Allen about the TVS and cam and stall.. We are working on it.. So from what you guys are saying, i'm on the low 15's right now?
Oh man...a TVS, cam, and stall would prolly put you in the high 12's--depending on the amount of psi you will be pushing...
But yeah, you might be in the high 14s/low 15s.
you can go ahead and race him, but unless he is morgan freeman, he's gonna bust your ass, its the simple easy truth man, my buddy is a decent driver with the same car and he gets me by about a foot every run. who knows though he fugs up and thats a win
:naughty: theres a reason behind it all.
I don't think I'll have a problem with a mustang after my TR220 and the vigilante 3000 stall go in.. Do you think so?
Time to put the truck on a diet.
i dunno man. run into one with a good driver and it'll probably take more than cam/stall in your heavy 4x4 to beat him.
yeah...thats no help though....u start sprayin and they will too, then your right back where u left off
when I ordered my stall from TR, they asked me if I had spray on my truck or were planning on adding a shot, and I said yes.. A 100hp shot but in case I do it, it will be in a couple of months.. When I get some money for a new tranny cause I'm pretty sure that it won't hold that kind of hp..
Yeah mine didnt last very long after I got a cam in it. It started slipping from 2-3 after about 2 or 3 weeks. When you going to race him?
