Ok Guys Im Going To Be Installing My Z06 Cam Soon On My 08'BLOWN 4.8,just Wanted To Ask If I Need The Ls7 Cam Sprocket??ive Heard Of Guys Having To Change That On Nnbs Trucks?
What About Pushrods?
about how much horsepower is this cam going to give me?anyone seen dyno gains on this??
I Know I Need The Yellow Springs As Well...

If its the older LS6 cam from a 02-04 vette then no you dont need a new spocket you already have the LS2 style one...i would go ahead and get pushrods and maybe do a better spring like a 918 or a PRC spring
the newer engines have a center bolt to retain the cam similar to Gen1 engines and have to be replaced with the three bolt style of the LS6 cam.

You may be correct. I can't say for sure since I haven't done a cam in any 07+ setups. I remember one being posted about changing the sprocket. Might be a good topic for a writeup if someone can find the documentation. Nathan?Quote:

The 6.0 (LS2)in the 08 TBSS has a single bolt in the center sprocket for the cam.:ugh2:Quote:

The 3-bolt top gear that matched the cam DID NOT have the correct CMP notches made into it. When the cam company was questioned, they told us either the parts they sent actually would work (NOT) or they were still developing a new type gear.
We waited weeks for a solution. Since it wasn't my job, I'm not sure what the solution was but I think it was a conversion, stock type single row gear with the 3-hole pattern.
