i was told the turbo 350 us the right one too
The yoke from my stock drive shaft works with my T-56.... should be the same for you.
The 5 speed trucks used a TH400/4L80e size larger yoke. The TH350/700r4/4L60e had a smaller diameter pinion yoke. It all depends on what stock driveshaft you have. Weren't the WT trucks 5 speed manuals, hence the larger 80e/400 size yoke?
has anyone done any driveshaft shortening? whats involved?thanks!
anyone have any info on getting a driveshaft shortened?
take it to a drive line shop if it needs shortend
Most drive train shops that work on big rigs will work on passenger vehicles. Thats where I get my driveshaft work done, at Inland Truck Parts Company in Denton.
Measurements are important. Find out from the shop doing the work how they want you to measure the shaft so you get the correct length.
You need a turbo 400 yoke . I think that the 350 is too small. Some people got away without shortening the drive shaft most don't . I had to shorten mine.I had a whole stronger one made .:)
