after seeing the rearend carnage that has come to some i have been looking at several lockers and gears...

1. whats the difference between them and will it fit...they say 8.6 inch 30 spline.
Richmond gears 3.73 good or should i go with the Motive gears?
I will definately have them professionally installed.
I've always had good luck with Motive gears, but I think the key to good gears is the install. The 3 above you mention are all good and depening on miles on your truck I would just on the safe side do the whole master install kit. Just be sure to find an installer that HAS done an install similar to what you are doing or ask around here for a good installer. You might also look at upgrading your gear fluids to Amsoil or Royal Purple for extra protection or whatever Chevy recommends and even a PML diff cover
