hemi owner talking smack

there is this guy who is in the same circles as me and i hear alot of rumors that he thinks he can blow my doors off with his new hemi. he wont say anything to me but i get reports back that he talks junk. he has a old buick roadmaster and he says he could take me in that too. the thing is i have never been able to catch him on the road. and if i did i know he wouldnt race. the thing that sucks is theres no way to shut him up. he's an older guy, so maybe i should just let him live in his fantasy world

Yeah or maybe you could just hang out down the road from him and wait for him to leave, if he wont race then force him off the road, maybe not that second part?

just confront him and call him out in front of everyone, then he will. and if he backs out, well you still win

yeah, especially once my truck rolls out of my garage, with a rollpan, cowl hood, new paint job, comp 269hr cam, ls1 heads. he wont know who whooped his butt.

well the silvy will be down for a few weeks, so if i ever see him on the road i hope im in the TBSS. i forgot to say its a CCSB 4x4 with nothing but flowmaster 1in2out. the TB will hand him his a$$

Your TBSS will easily beat that clown. As for the Roadmaster--what year? Lets hope it is not a 96 model. That year had the LT1 350 motor that would haul ass for a big car---it was like a sleeper Impala SS. It would beat a 96 Crapstang GT! Even at that, you would still beat both of his vehicles...

yeah my friend had a 96 impala ss with the LTI in it i wasent impressed with it.anything over 120 and the back it felt unstable.

people here run there mouths about there hemis htinking they are all fast and junk.......a guy here has a SBSC ram with hemi and 20's, he told my friends these exact wrods........."wheres that green stock ass lookin silverado that is always hotrodding around, ill beat his POS truck easy".....i heard, confronted, he now knows why it looks stock lol....so noone owuld ever know. i mean hes got CAI tune, and a posi. i got limited slip, CAI, Flowmasters.......i still ebat him by like 3 lengths.....he was pissed

well the silvy def. is not stock, but looks very stock because i am keeping the stock wheels, but i do plan on running DR's. the TBSS has a CAI and soon to have a tune. his roadmaster is a 96. but i think my silvy could have beat that even when it was stock. he doesn't do anything serious to any of his vehicles. i really do need to call him out but i haven't heard anything from him in awhile. i think he just likes seeing me get irritated.

Dayum...why am I always right? Hehe, j/k. When I mentioned it being a 96, I was implying that a 96 Roadmaster was a quick car for it's day and vehicle mass. another friggin hemi guy in a ccsb was braggin on truck to me today. he works for me and pulled up and started braggin about his truck, i just said hold on a sec while i get my keys, then he started saying how he cant get traction and would be all sideways, i told him i was 2wd also. although my TBSS gets damn good traction. he was actually braggin about spinning. i told him earlier i saw a 4banger s-10 spin too does that mean he's fast too. so long story short i called this fools bluff and he backed out. but i told him if i catch him on the street i WILL bust his a$$. he also has a 70 something vette, he brags on but i told him i beat on of those on the way home from the dealership in the TBSS. he wasnt to happy with me saying that either.

how many times must we embarrass these guys? i would rather have a 4.8 ls1 than a 5.7 hemi:burnrub:

like a 4.8 is bad? id rather have my wifes rcsb 4.3 than a hemi. i took it to the store the other day and with a kn drop in i whooped a 2000ish civic. i kinda wish my 4.8 was in it. i just hate not being able to recline. you think dealership would notice if i switched em jk

well i decided to go confront this last guy, since he does work for me, i went to the job site with the TBSS right when i knew he would be finishing up. and said lets go. but he just kept coming up with excuses. i told him he's the 3rd hemi guy to back down from a race with me in the SS and he said he wasnt backin down, so i said great then lets roll. he said nah, my back hurts right now and i dont want to be banging gears, i just laughed that he thinks his stock auto trans will bang gears. if he wanted to feel an auto bang gears he needs to ride in my silvy, when she hits second it will break loose and pick up 10mph. but anyway. one down dont know how many more to go. im glad i have the SS to pick up the slack while the silvy's down.

Dude, people are finally starting to take notice about those TBSS trucks. They are real sleepers. No one expects anything out of them, and then when they do get drug by an SUV, they think twice the next time... And I only know of a few that are NOT stock... GM Performance Baby!

I dont mean to jack the tread but since when is a 4.8 iron block engine considerd an ls1. An ls1 is an all aluminum 5.7 engine is it not? Or are we just slappin the ls1 name on all gm engines. Sorry if it sounds like I am being critical:whack: but I have seen many people do this in the past.

I agree they are not the same. only thing that makes them similar is that all the parts from an ls1 can fit on the LR4. which makes it like a little brother.
But when you say LR4 or LQ9 most people are like:confused:
if you say LS1 or its the same as an LS1 they get it. PLus there is such a thing as a 1.6l hemi. All that means is hemispherical form. Which if you have a double over head cam and spark plugs on top of the head, theoretically you could say you have a hemi. but i doubt many people know that. cause dodge trademarked the word somehow

yeah, the TBSS was still draggin my silvy before the c/h. i think mostly because i cant drive for sh!t. but once i pull her out of the garage i'm gonna have the wife run me again. it kinda sucks havin your wife drag you down the road in her stock except for an CAI SUV.

lucky!!! i wish I could get My wife to race me. SHe gets pissy when I accel a little to much. oh well.

reminds me of last week, when i raced an '08 superduty powerstroke..

it was late at night, going out to grab a bite to eat. powerstroke next to me kept revving at a stop light. i rev and a jeep behind me kept honking her horn and flashing her brights at me. i was like "what the hell lady?"

we race from the green and the lady is still behind us flashing and honking her horn. i pulled on the powerstroke pretty hard. then we stop and talk, and come to find out it was this guys wife honking and flashing her brights at us. she didn't care much for me at that point.. haha. i told her sorry and she didn't want much with me.

yes, the 4.8 is a member of the ls1 family. its a gen3 motor with parts that are interchangable with the camaro,t/a 5.3,6.0 etc. whats with the technicalness? the point is, the hemi might be a 5.7, but it is not a potent gen3 5.7. liter motor.

Yes it is part of the family but not an ls1. The point is people throw around the name like it is going out of style. I don't know if it makes them feel better to say they have an ls1 or what but there is only 1 all aluminum 5.7 engine and thats the ls1. Dont take it as a hit on you just thought people should know that just because they have a 4.8 or 5.3 doesn't mean they have an ls1. Interchangable parts-yes, but still a different animal.

Hemi owners would really be crying if the trucks had the aluminum block 5.7L LS1 engines in them. When the LS2 came to the market all us truck owners could have had the 6.0L upgrade. Now we have the option of the L92 6.2L engine. Bring on the tears crybabies. :laugh:
