Pretty good deal for someone! :thumb:
ok this person has some stuff wrong in their post. it says ls1 out of an escalade. then it says 300 hp(LQ4 never was in an escalade to my knowledge, could be wrong tho). i know they came with 5.3's and the lq9...
Ever heard of a 4L80e behind a stock 5.3?
LS1 is a style these days, not a real engine when it comes to trucks. Look at all the members we have here on "LS1"truck.
Yes
ls1 is not a style LS is a style and according to some literature i have they actually differentiate between ls and the lq motors. they are ls1 based yes but not ls1 engines. thats how i see it, but i see ur view as well. but saying its an ls1 motor misrepresents it to 99% of the consumers out there. according to gm LS1=5.7L gen III not 4.8, 5.3, 5.7, 5.7, 6.0, 6.0. thats my point.;)
I've seen a factory truck with a 4.8L and 80E trans, lol.
4.8+4L80e = :puke:
Maybe the vans have a 5.3 with a 4L80e?
escalade/silverado ss came with the same 6.0l
ya, it was a van, lol
GM's LS1 was the all aluminum 5.7L V8 that came in the 97+ Corvettes, GTOs and 98+ Fbodies. The LS1 was eventually replaced with the 6.0L LS2. The high performance version of the LS1 was the LS6 with the 243 head castings. The common factor with all these engines is the aluminum block. The LS2 and LS6 both had the 243 casting heads.
wow that is cheap
edit: hm funny i cant find any info on a 2001 Cadillac escalade. im pretty sure they stopped making them in 2000 an started back up in 2002
yea lol they didn't make one
also the 6.0 only comes in all wheel drive
