is the 500 rpm over stock going to make the trans run to hot? i'm not sure if the stock cooler will be efficient enough.

It probably will be efficient enough, but remember heat kills a tranny. It wouldnt hurt to ugrade it.
i have a tb stall behind my 6.0 and it rose the temps from 165-170 to around 190-200. but i'm also down here in florida with the bad azz heat. so i just got a tru-cool 4590 cooler (28,000 gvw) and it took my temps back down to 160-165. its working very well and it was easy to install.
It really isnt gonna hurt you to get another one..There cheap...and tranny temps are the #1 killer of trannies....its a fool proof 80$......
or you cna ahve three....

have you ran your silverado @ the track yet? also do you have any pics of your truck, it sounds like it's pretty cool.
Spend $50 and get the cooler
If your truck doesn't have a cooler get one. If you have a stall convertor, get a big cooler. If you tow with your truck, get a good size cooler. If you live in a hot climate, get a transmission cooler. If you haven't figured it out yet, GET A TRANS COOLER! BTW, if you have a small diameter torque convertor you probably should buy a larger capacity transmission pan, also. I lost over 2 quarts of fluid capacity when I changed convertors. That means all the heat is now in a smaller package and it will heat up much faster than before. I have a bigger pan on my list.

the 28,000 gvw 11x11x1.5 inch cooler that dirty south recommended looks to be legit. it will now be on my list. BTW does anyone have a part number for a larger trans pan? for the 2005? thanks

has anyone installed the 4th gear servo with their corvette servo? i have a link to go to:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/700r4-4L60-...sspagenameZWDVW
what do you think about installing them both in a mild truck.
I have a 2nd and 4th billet servo. They hold very well.

Same. Just be careful when you install the TransGo with billets.
You want no washers in the 1-2 accumulator and do NOT enlarge the feed hole for the 1-2 shift. I'd also recommend retaining the softer spring for the accumulator piston in the valve body.
