The new Arkansas titles have the bill of sale on the back. Is this one that way?
-
I would have to check. I was going to just print up a Florida bill of sale, I never fill anything out on the back of the title.
-
Ok. The title is clean and the truck hasn't been wrecked right?
-
Correct. I never ran a carfax on it, but it doesnt seem like it has been wrecked. Title is clean and is in hand.
-
Great. Another Q - do you have the VIN for the 2002 donor truck?
-
im sure i can get it. Im using the ecu from it, let me see if it says in the tune file.
another question for you: do you have tuning software? How do you plan on working with the ECU? I have one that I purchased, but never licensed. I would like to keep the one in the truck, because it cost me $100 to license it, and since I hold the license it would do you no good. The only thing done to the one in the truck, VATS was removed so it would start/run. I would have no problem letting you hang onto the one that lets the truck run until you get the other ecu licensed, vats removed, something, but I would like it back lol.
-
Well my friend that does all my wiring/tuning said as long as you haven't locked it and we have the vin then we can get in the ECM. I'd like to have the ECM that already has vats removed and definitely want the truck to come with an ECM that I can keep.
-
HP Tuners isnt showing the vin being saved in the licenses. I will have to install the ecu in my trans am, connect and document the vin, then put it back into the truck.
-
And that will give you the vin to the 02 truck?
-
yeah, it will. I couldnt get the guy to give me the vin from the truck after I pulled the motor (I forgot to get it when I was there), so I could verify that it wasnt stolen or anything, so I put the ECU in my dad's LQ4/4L60E 98 Jimmy and pulled the vin with HP Tuners.
