really sorry to hear this dale. so what all do you need to rebuild? ive got some parts if you need, full lq9 rotating assy, (i know u cant use pistons) and some ls6 heads let us know, we're here to help :thumb:
If you want a 5.3 i have one I am selling. Just pulled it out last week with 125,000 miles. Nothing wrong with it. Im real close to you too, so i could take it to you.

you cannot advance the cam by jumping teeth on the timming gear. you have to have an adjustable timing set. You advanced the cam a lot farther than 3*
this is from the person Dale bought his motor from..
Dale has a Comp cams adjustable roller timing set. He didn't just jump it one tooth. :laugh:
I used a comp double roller that had 3 key ways.Im not dumb enuff to jump teeth on a gear to retime the cam.and i know noone is saying i am...just making that clear

When are you going to tear it down and find out what all was seriously damaged?
