Just gonna add this here for anyone needing numbers for the fuel line fittings for return style lines. All these numbers are Summit Racing. I will not take credit for the picture. I found it searching when I was gathering parts for mine.

What are y'all using to keep the factory temp gauge in a 94?
This truck has a Nelson harness truck temp sensor
The oem 350 had a one wire sensor
i'm using this in my 96 on the factory gauge. it's a 3 pin sensor with a mini harness. the third wire goes to the factory gauge. i heard a few guys say they aren't accurate but mine is & i've had no problems.

i bought this off ebay all together. i think the sensor is from an older camaro, & they do sell the harness separate.
Very nice information RHB. Thanks! I think a lot of the procedures and parts will apply to my swap. Thank God I've got a little more room to work with in a full-size Blazer, and that I'm not stuffing a V8 under the hood of an S10 :)
Do you happen to know much about the Gen IV motor swaps? That is what I'll be playing with. My research and talks with folks pretty much indicates Gen III and Gen IV's are about the same except for the following: Gen IV cruise control is difficult (um... more like expensive - about $300) to make work in older vehicles that use cruise control cables; then there is the AFM (automatic fuel management), but that isn't much of a problem I hear; lastly, some Gen IV motors have single fuel lines while others have double (I guess there is no rhyme or reason. You just need to know what you got).
Did you have to relocate the ac compressor? I am using a lq4 and looking at kits to move the alternator and the ac compressor and use a r4 or sarten compressor.
I have a question or 2. Are you using the stock frame engine mounts? and here is what i am looking at using for the egine mounts on the motor if i can link this? If not i do apologize.

And what kit did you use to move the ac compressor. I don't think i ever saw if you said? I have found a kit from summit.

Again i hope that it is ok that i posted these links with these questions.
Does any body know if any lt headers will fit a 2000 obs ccsb k2500 with a 6.0 swap?
Anyone?
Search pacesetter. I believe that they work but I won't say for sure.
Ok thanks I've read they fit 1500 but have yet to see them on a 2500 but I will keep reading, just trying to get all the parts ordered for the swap
OK gents. for the life of me I can't get a straight answer on this. I am putting a 03 6.0 LQ4 out of a 2500 into my 97 K2500. I am keeping the NV4500, it has the internal slave, and is the exact same tranny they were using in 01-07 for the manual tranny trucks. I am trying to figure out a clutch/flywheel setup and I can't get a straight damn answer. I'd like to go Mcleod, since I'm towing and hauling with this truck, I need something durable. I'm thinking about just switching out the slave/hydraulics to the 03 style, and getting an 03 compatible clutch and flywheel setup. Does that make sense? Is anyone on here familiar with dealing with this swap?
ALSO what 6.0 compatible flywheels have the dowel pins removed and shouldered bolt holes? I can't seem to find that either.
I'm swapping a 94 C1500 right now and was wondering if everyone was removing all of the stock engine harness or not. If not, did you just cut it back to the firewall connector? I'm trying to minimize the stray wires underhood if I can. I've cut the LS harness back to a stand alone, so I assume I can just tie into the stock FP relay and i'd like to tie into the stock check engine light too if I can. Keeping the stock AC plug, water temp, oil pressure, and alternator (If I need to to keep charge light off).
Tips? Tricks? Thanks!
Since photobucket sh*t the bed and all pics are gone, does anyone have any updated links for pcm repinning? I'm putting a 24x 6.0 into my 99 Suburban and want to run only the LS pcm.
Does anyone know if Nelson Performance is still in business? Or how to reach them...trying to get my harness reworked.
Just check the sidebar on the forum page. There is a link there with all the contact information.
Thanks...they are building my harness now. Hopefully done this week. Doing an LS2 out of my totaled tbss into my 2door Tahoe. Got set back plates, and harness. Anyone know if the stock y-pipe off of my ss will work on my Tahoe? Or anything else that may be an issue during the swap.
HELP!!! went to stab the ls2 from my tbss only to figure out the oil pan is front sump. look at the pan on the old 5.7 looks to be a rear sump. Question is, does anybody have a part number for a pan and pickup that will fit my 99 2dr Tahoe????
Yeah, there were a few wires I kept from the old engine harness. You need a set of wiring diagrams from your 94. There's a lot of work figuring out what you want/need to keep. Then you painstakingly start cutting away the wires that won't be used. KEEP A WRITTEN RECORD OF WHAT YOU DO!!!! You won't remember in two years what you did, and at some point you'll need to know. Remember, even if there's something you don't need, you may want to use the circuit for something else. Nice wires with factory firewall connector/pass through is nice to have. For instance, I used the original fuel injection circuit to power my new harness. Just the right current rating for what I needed. Don't cut any wires till you KNOW you won't want to use them. Once I cut away all of the old, I then wrapped what was left in Nylon corrugated wire loom to keep it factory looking. (Don't use Polyethylene loom, it melts.)
I am new to this site I wanna do an LS1 conversion in my 1995 chevy k1500 4x4 and I’m lost on what to do the only thing I have is a 6.0 ls longblock any help would be appreciative thanks
Go to lt1swap.com that helped me out alot. I pretty much got everything figured out except the tranny. I dunno if I can use my 95 trans. You might have that same problem with your trans. If you can just get a newer 4l60e or 80e so you won't have to deal with it. I on the other hand want to use my trans if possible but I haven't got answer from anyone on how I can use it. I'm at a stand still until then bit good luck.
I’m putting an 04 5.3 in my 91. The 91 has a 5 speed (I believe it’s a getrag trans), can anyone tell me the correct flywheel, pressure plate, clutch, and bearings I need? I have only read about the nv3500/4500 or t-5’s. Thanks
I'm in the process of installing a 2002 Yukon Denali engine transmission and transfer case in my 1994 GMC Sierra. Has anyone made there OBS AWD. I have already modified the right side differential mount and the install looks pretty straightforward. My concern is the wiring . I removed the factory computer and associated wiring from the truck but I'm not sure I did the right thing. Any tip would be greatly appreciated.
