ive tried to just order that power brake fitting with no luck.
ive got two in the manifolds and cannot remove them without
breakage. currently i have a vacuum nipple blocking the port
temporarily until i locate that fitting.

Since mine was already broken off in there...i went to Menards Hardware store and bought a 90 degree plastic 3/8" hose barb fitting with 1/2" NPT threads on the other side...since that hole is .77 and OD of 1/2" threads is about the same, i touched the plastic threads on the fitting with a file (for clearance) and Hi Temp RTV'd that thing into it. I did that last night, so i'm hoping it'll be all dried and ready to test this evening. I need gauges though...this sucks...i should have run a TPI motor...Quote:

I use a silicone reducer elbow and 4" aluminum tube to a K&N filter. It sucks in hot under hood air right now but that will change one day when I finally build a box around it. :devil:
ive welded a 90° 4" mandrel to a straight 4" and welded a 45°, welded a
bracket to the tube for support on the alternator bracket and used a kn 1015.
im going MAFless... id like to keep all the cfm i can get.

hey congrats! This has been a great read. I currenlty have a 39 Chevy Coupe out back that needs a powerplant. (Ive built a 427 BBC for it but after installing the TPI in my 56 Chevy truck (parts getter) I LOVE the EFI! Man, I go 6 months not even starting the thing and just put the key in...turn it on and VROOOOOMMMMMM!!!!
I plan on doing a 6.0 twin turbo in the coupe! That'd be fun for the strip! I'm even thinking about making it look Gasser like.

Sounds cool! i love the EFI....i had a 4 cylinder efi and that was ok....but no guts ya know? i went form about 86hp to 285hp :-D i'm happy!
