Very nice truck! Slick build too (LOL).
Using alot of the same parts I did. Good luck!
I love how the oil pan and front cover came out!! I am getting ready to paint mine as well, and never thought about that color until I saw yours. What brand of paint is that? Keep up the great work!!
The oil pan paint is a Duplicolor engine paint called Cast Coat Aluminum. I plan to paint the entire block, heads, valley cover, and alternator with it. The timing cover paint is a Cast Iron color header/manifold paint. I paln to use it on the accessory brackets, water pump, valve covers, intake, and air cleaner. Everything else including bolts, will be painted a matte black.
Progress!! I was getting some floor work done on our house, so I took a vacation day yesterday. I don't really like bugging people or getting in their way when they're working, so I worked in the garage.
I pushed the truck out so I had more room. I cleaned and prepped the block deck surface. Then, I cleaned, prepped, and masked the block and heads for paint, primered and painted them.
With etching primer.............

I've recieved a few other parts not pictured.
-Carter electric fuel pump
-used truck accessory drive system(it's being cleaned)
-oil pressure and water temp sender adapter fittings and an oil level sensor plug from Speedway
I'm hoping to decide on new valve covers today and order them, and go pick up all the gaskets I need today.
With a cam like that, I really really hope you opt for a bigger stall.
I'm going to use a 2400-2600 stall. It's what was recommended.
Honestly your engine has got to be one of the nicest one's that I have seen, now I really want to do mine that way!! I would leave it just as you have it now, keep up the great work!
