Sorry to hear about that. Contract work for the government is usually a little more stable if you are willing to look. Check out websites for these companies and you might just find something that you are looking for. Im a Systems Analyst Senior Professional down in Fort Hood. Basically just a computer geek that teaches, builds and works on 17 servers for the military. They are not limited to the computer field though. They take people for technical fields, mechanics, staff workers, etc.

Sucks to hear about your job loss. I was laid off Nov 4th, 2009 (IT support guy). I just accepted a position at the state for an IT guy. Its crazy job searching, when it rains it pours with interviews...at least that's what happened with me anyways.
Thanks, going for 2nd interview at Bell Helicopter Monday. The jobs that require gov't clearance are such a PITA.
Bell Helicopter sounds promising but no replies back so far.
L3 Communications, had a 2nd interview with them Monday, met all the guys I'd be working with and spent a couple hours with the interview and baffled them with my b.s. Waiting on a money offer now.
Friday, I have an interview at mother Halliburton in Conroe doing the same thing I did in Carrollton. :thumb:
