nope not yet tyler... we had it at magnuson on their dyno and on the first pass at 2/3 throttle it ramped so hard and fast it broke a dyno strap (metal part) at 2800 rpm @650 ft lbs, without any timing advance or any real tweaking to the tune...

I need to get it on a better dyno and get the tune dialed... kenny dutweiler built a similar LSX motor with the same SC and at 14psi he made 960hp to the crank... I am running more boost and more fuel (meth) so I am hoping for 1k at the crank... through my 80e and drivetrain I think 750rwhp is obtainable, maybe more?

Im still breaking in the engine, its got maybe 400 miles on the block? the tune on it now is very tame, and very rich - i hope to get 600 miles on it before the final tune is complete. I will post final numbers and a dyno graph when i get it done.

Wow man--I hope you do end up hitting that magical 1k mark. With it being SC, how do you anticipate the RWTQ numbers to be??? What rearend did you end up going with?

Good call--it is a fine idea to get 1,000 to 1,500 miles of break in done before really opening it up. I know it will be hard, but keep your tiny little girl foot off the GO pedal a little while longer... :D

In any case--congrats on the final product! Looks awesome and I am sure it will run even better. :thumb:

By the way, did anybody read the Readers rap on page 17? About switching to and ls6 intake costing 700-1000 dollars and most guys that do have their wires held together with duct tape? :spit:

it is that expensive, but ive never seen wires held with duct tape. our harness isnt made for that intake though so you have to get creative to make it look good.

The way he makes it sound though is the guys that are doing the swap are dropping a grand for an intake swap and half ass'n the job.... and granted, I haven't done the swap so I could be 180 off but I would think that you could do that swap for a bit less if you lurked the forums and searched around.

svo injectors 130ish
return style ls1 fuel rail 80ish
new manifold gaskets 20ish
new manifold bolts 20ish
new injector pigtails 20ish
new water pump 180ish?
new belt 25ish
relocating idler 10ish
new map sensor 30ish
misc fuel lines/adaptors 15ish

830ish before you start selling off crap you dont need anymore.

well lsxr wasnt always around haha. you have more than that into the intake anyways:smash:

true, it wasnt available at the time, but i had no choice but to waite since i run bigger heads (ls3/l92) and there was no aftermarket intake available for my setup ;)



intake, fuel rails, injectors,throttlebody, necassary AN fittings breaded hose, less 2k doesnt matter if its necassary or not, if i gain even 10 or 35 i am happy..

i like to keep my setup matched so if i have a intake that calls for a 102mm tb then thats what i will put on it, they say the 90mm would fit, BUT mine didnt, thus why mininumize the size (92tb if it even fits ) and go with what its called for? ( 102mm tb ) plus mind you what i do is for my future build ;) of a 408 stroker.
