It will have no bottom end and that 4.8L needs all the lowend torque it can produce. But since you said you need all the torque it can get... Wouldnt a 210/218 cam be better then a 220 torque wise?

You want to match the cam's power band with the converter, along with other things, I believe he said he was doing a 3400+- stall converter, that 220 would match up just right, on certain trucks.

For a 210 duration cam, he could do a smaller stall, but the larger stall will work as well. The truck is light and he has steep gears, plus the more torque will make a converter stall more, something
