Probably a summary, once the engine fires up at least.
Ducky you have two options as far as the fuel system is concerned. You can use the 01 fuel rail (the one with 2 connections) and not have to change out any of your lines, they should fit right up. You just have to figure out which one is FEED and which one is RETURN.
OR, you can use the RETURNLESS fuel rail that you show in that picture but you are going to have to buy a 2001? corvette fuel filter because it has the pressure regulator built into it. (returnless style system has the pump/filter/regulator all as one unit in the tank and one line going to the engine).
Of course you could get the fuel system from an 03-06 but you would need the fuel tank also, because the hole for the fuel pumps is different than what is in your truck right now.
Lucky for me I was able to get the complete fuel and evap system from the same truck that my motor came out of. Fuel tank, evap system, fuel line/evap line, and fuel pump assembly.
I hope I didn't just confuse you more....
EDIT: I can't remember what year your new motor was from so all of the above may not even apply to you.
DAY 5.
Well after a 3 day break because of work back in austin, I was able to start back up on the truck today. Woke up this morning, went to a machine shop and picked up a return/send fuel rail for the intake manifold. I had to swing by OReillys to pick up another engine mount because the one I got from the junk yards was bent. But I got everything mounted and bolted up. Tq converted is bolted to the flexplate, and the bellhousing is loosely bolted. I still need to get the dust plate for it and then it should be good to go. Is there a certain order that the bolts need to be tightened in? What should they be torqued down to?
Tomorrow I am going to get the intake manifold bolted on, and then start on getting the fuel lines cut and connected, then getting them together. Then ill start on the front acc. and then the wiring harness. Here are some pics so far.
*Does anyone know how the knock sensor needs to lay in that valley and where the actual plug needs to come out from under the intake?

Can Anyone tell me what goes over that fitting?

oh ok. What about that knock sensor wire? Do you or anyone know how that is supposed to lay in that valley and where its supposed to exit?
Also, can you tell from this pic if I have the correct throttle body for my 2000 truck?

Knock sensor harness runs straight out the back toward the firewall.
Yeah, the answers to you questions are correct... As for the other questions: Get online and find a dealership that has a 01 5.3 truck for sale and take pictures of what the wiring harness plugs into and where all of those 1/4" rubber hoses lead. That will help out with a lot of your questions. Or if you know someone who has an 01 5.3, go steal his truck for a while and compare engine bays...
A buddy of mine has an 01 tahoe, but I dont know if that will be the same..
yes its the same. The throttle body looks to be correct. I have the original plastic tube for the pcv valve. Do you need it I will ship it to you today If you like.
nevermind mine is off a 04 and is different
